The Association of German National Jews was a Jewish organization formed in Nazi Germany that supported Hitler.

Among the activities of this group was to fight against the Jewish boycott of German goods.[1] They also issued a manifesto that stated that the Jews were being fairly treated. This manifesto was signed by some leading Jews, and also by Johannes Robin.[2]

The leader of the association was Max Naumann.[3]

A possible reason for why some German Jews supported Hitler may have been that they thought that his anti-antisemitism only was for the purpose of "stirring up the masses".[4]

Similar contemporary Jewish groups in Germany included:

  • the "Nazi Jews", who advocated loyalty to the Nazi programme, and allegedly ended their meetings by giving the Nazi salute and shouting, "Down With Us!"[5]
  • the German Vanguard, the German-Jewish followers of Hitler, led by Hans Joachim Schoeps.[6]
